We are done I think we made 20 plus pulls over the two day period. We ended up with 857rwhp and 800rwtq. We would have liked a few more ponies. We are more than happy with the out come. The new fuel pump didnt really give us very much over all. It just made the tune up very safe. We could lean out the tune and make 870rwhp and the torque would fall way off. So, we decided to go the safe route instead. We have a video of the pull and I will post them later.

Ahh, very nice! What RPM did you take it to & what was the max TQ RPM? That combo should smoke your Nitrous set-up ,plus you could drive it on the street if you would want to. What total timing did you end up with & max PSI of boost? Curious because I have the same head basically. Are you ready for the track? If so,when ya goin? Just curious. MBHD

I bounced it off the 7000 rpm rev limiter more than once If there is harmonic issues with the 292 at 6500rpm we didnt see it. Max tq rpm was 4400 I think. I dont have the paper work in front of me. I will have to see on the timing. Not sure what it ended up being. Yes, a freind is renting San Antonio Racway on the Febuary 25. They asked if we would like to come an test our new found horsepower

Sounds like it just wants to rev & rev. Mine did the same (wanting to rev & rev) when I was supercharged.
Steven,if you could post the specs on your build,injector size,compression ratio,etc,etc, & so-on just for a recap.
Forgot what stall you are running? 8"?
Also, what A/F ratio/s did you run on the dyno?
Thanks

I tried it in my Syclone & it leaned out my A/F ratio last time @ a track 13.8 , I was running out of injector, since then I installed larger injectors but have not gone to the track yet.

Guys!
I´ve beem offline for a little while, maybe I was in LUTE because of the Explosion of the hole engine of my Turbo 6 cyl. But ok... that´s past now! New project are coming on...
Just want to congratulate you, Steven and Craig, for the excellent job you´re doing in Mighty6! That´s the most Healthy Chevy 6 cyl turbo I ever heard, and FOR SURE the QUICKEST to spool up in transbreak!!! I dreamed years and years with my car doing what you did with the transbreak Tune up.
WAY TO GO STEVEN!!! I´m really excited to see how fast this monster will go on the 1/4 mile.
Have fun on the track, and GOOD LUCK! You deserves this!!

Harry Thanks Harry we are glad somebody still cares about what we do. We are still a bit numb by the preformance of M6. A few racers were giggling when we brought M6 to the line. After that first shake down pass they knew we were there to run some numbers. It was funny because they would come back to watch every time. If a picture was worth a thousand words....than a video is worth a million! Enjoy guys BTW-We still have a little power left http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnyrmhMZixYhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dMXUDO5Crghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gex-uUio8Dc

Awesome job guys!.
Now I am sure you guys are glad you switched to forced induction. Nice & smooth on the launch,as compared to the violent lauches w/nitrous.
Great work & it shows.
What was you best time w/nitrous?

Your last time @ the track. Latest combo. Just curious because I do not think Douglas could not get off the line as fast. Moving great Mighty6. Douglas told me an update,he ran a best of 8.5 & broke @ the 1000' mark. Best 60', I forgot & he just told me a little bit ago. IIRC 1.28 60' IIRC, Being Approx 2400 LBS (no driver) helps. Maybe Douglas will chime in? The Kirby/Sisslle head has something to do w/these fast times & MPH I think. MBHD

We are just now getting our transmission back from the rebuilder. We were trying to make a race this weekend. The XS Power 16v battery decides to short out So instead of over nighting a battery from across the USA we decided to scrap the race. We decided to look at everything real good to make sure the next outing is a good one like the first one.

Hey Mighty6,
sorry if I am bothering you, but,,,
just checking if you had made it to a track?
Also, I noticed on your 12 port head the exhaust ports have a stainless o-rings?
Just wondering what material you used, also what thickness & if it seals perfect, any problems?
I never asked Mike if he has exhaust gaskets for the head.
Another couple Q's, what head gasket are you guys using & what head gaskets to stay away from for the 12 port head?
Did you o-ring the block, head?
Thanks

I have been working a ton of hours 80 hrs a week.
No, we did a leak down and found 5 cylinders had 15, 15, 30, 30 and 60% leakdown. It also had a small water leak around the head gasket. We pulled the motor out to address the issues. The water leak was the head gasket. The leak down was the exhaust valves were corroded from the fuel we use. We think it had that much leak down when we made the 8.71,.75,.79 passes.
With Craig and I working so many hours it may take a few more days to get it back together again. Our record setting weather is gone in S. Texas so no point in getting in a hurry now.
We put the o-rings in the ex-ports a long time ago for the nitrous motor. It worked good but still had gasket issues. We do not use any gaskets now. A small dab of high temp silcone to seal it up.
Yes, M. Kirby has some gaskets in stock.
We run a copper head gasket with o-ring and rec-groove has held up well for us. Mike has a new Cometic head gasket that look trick. We are going to try it next.

Thanks Steven, I heard about that Q16 being really corrosive.. I heard also not to leave the Q16 in the fuel tank either. A VP rep on another forum says if the vehicle is going to sit for more than a week, you should drain all of your fuel system. I think mainly to get the fuel preserved of its octane. Yeah, that's the problem when running copper head gaskets, water leaks. At least that's what I have been told anyways. So, I take it you got the trans all fixed up now? I will Email M.K. & see if he will respond. LOL. I was thinking about this turbo to get. http://www.exileturbo.com/images/pdf/GT4202R.pdf A little smaller than yours, but I got a smaller engine w/less compression. T.T.Y.L. MBHD

Another rough week at work If I dont respond It's because I get home really late and my brain is fried. I know a bunch of guys running that fuel and this the first time I've seen this problem. Yes, the transmision is back in and working good. I think the turbo will work well. What A/R on the ehaust 1.01? What rpm's are you going to spin it too? If luck is on our side we will get the motor back together this weekend.

MIGHTY6,
Goodluck on getting the truck all back together. Did you take a look @ the bottom end since you pulled out the engine?
I am thinking of using an A/R of 1.01. RPM, probably 7500.

Yes, we pulled the pan off. Eveything looked real good. We also had to look and see where the con rod comes close to the cam. We may need to add some material to next set of rods.
