Can I run a 230 valve cover on my 250? The 250 cover has a 3rd hole for a vent. The 230 only has a hole for the filler cap and the PCV valve. Thanks, Todd

There shouldn't be an issue running a 230 valve cover on a 250. They were all the same, to my knowledge.

The hole on the side of the 250 valve cover was for a breather tube to the air cleaner. But anyway your 230 cover will work.

What "cool" 230 covers do I get to choose from? My fleabay searches tend to turn up the $15 Chinese stamped steel units and the Offy finned. I've got the stock "Chevrolet" script chrome one, but have a lot of "rod" pieces and parts going on under the hood as well, so I'd be interested in something more unusual.

not a 230 cover, but I like this setup:

I believe Langdon's sells the adapter to get 235 valve covers to work on the later L6s.

Actually if you want something cool/different look for a Mercruiser 165 valve cover. They are aluminum with small fims. They're pretty cool. Todd
