Ok,292/4on floor,16" rims. If I put 40 series tires the calculator says I go bout 52 when I used to be going 65. Either a gear swap at$650 quoted by a shop or I can swap rears? I have junk yard friends so the rear ends not as much. What's better n what'll match? Thanks

What gear ratio does it have now?

40 series tires, what 24-25 inches tall?

308 gears needed as a rough estimate?

You could swap rears, what vehicle, truck?

I don't know the ratio. I am told it is a posi rear end? Trying to stay on 20"s so i'm not paying more for rims than I did for the truck. Lol. Is there a rear out of a later truck I can do a somewhat easy swap?
