I don't recommend copper head gaskets except in certain situations....definately not on a mild 250 Chevy engine. Get a Fel-Pro gasket after you've had the head checked.

One of the best head gaskets is the felpro race 1025. I used, reused and abused the same one over and over on the dyno tests. Tom

Would you recomend the copper for a high compression motor I have 12.5-1 and why do you not recomend the copper this is my first classic so I don't know but I used to run copper gaskets in my turbo honda. Thanks

Flat out gaskets in Ill can make a nice copper head gasket. To use these a wire ring will need to be installed in the head or block. Tom
