i just got my ignition figured out and i went to start my car and it will run for a secong or so when i stop cranking but when it is running it is spitting fuel out of the top of the carb it almost looks like it is comming out of the two little vents on top. But the carb is a brand new edelbrock 600 and i am running a holley blue fuel pump. when the motor does run the fuel press is at 3.5 - 4 psi i need help thanks

Are you sure the timing is set correct? Sounds like it may be off 180 degrees. Tom

It sounds like there is a bit of dirt in your inlet needle / seat assembly. Clean and blow out with compressed air - it should be OK.
