This is the manifold my 71 camaro originally came with from the dealer. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

I can't say I have, can you take some closer pics of where the added flange mates to the exhaust manifold?
Looks like they installed a block off plate where the exhaust normally exits??

it looks like a factory exh manifold , that has been modified with the add on turbo flange. i must say it was a very unique way of attaching a turbo. i wonder how the carb was attached? i see the aluminum adaptor where the carb mounts. tom

On that type of setup, they usually run a draw through carb.

I have seen through the years, people turbocharging a Ford,Mopar, etc straight six, they all ran a draw through carb.

Yeah I'll see if I can get some pics at lunch. I have the manifold in my truck. And yeah, they installed a block off plate.

Yeah the only way this would work is with a draw through carb. I'm not really sure how the setup worked as the carb and turbo were long gone when I got the car.

Here's some closer pics. Hopefully these are what you are looking for. It looks like the weld might be cracking on the backside.

Nice pics!
it definatlely does not look like a factory casted manifold for a turbo, just a welded on piece.

You really need to know what you are doing to weld cast iron correctly.

Yeah definately. And I'm not going to be messing with this manifold. I'm not that profecient of a welder. I think I'd rather go with that SPA manifold. It looks like it would work better.
