How many leaves should a 55 2nd series 3100 short bed truck have in each front spring ? Mine seems to sit a little high in the front. The clamps holding the stack inline have been sawed off.How many & which ones can be removed to lower these things. Thanks all.

Try Chevy Duty or Jim Carters for # of leaves. Or a shop manual.
As for which ones to mess with, I couldn't say for sure, but you should try to keep 3" or more of travel. Also, the draglink needs to stay basically level, or you will get bumpsteer.

I believe mine had 8 leaves. Remove one or two of the shorter leaves and give that a try.
