some time back I mentioned haveing a bent push rod,,followed suggestions.valve not sticking so replaced the lifter and push rod,adjusted valve alittle loose and cranked it up.Both push rods on #1 cylinder are now bent,engine has 300 miles on it and no trouble until now.

Did you check that cyl for coil bind? You may have broken a spring and it is not allowing full travel of the valve even though it is still holding the valve closed. Also check for any foreign material in the valve springs on that cyl. Had a friend once that found a chunk of metal inside a spring that must have been there since the shop did a valve job and it finally fell between the coils causing bent push rods.


Been there, Done that, Hope to live long enough to do it again.

Was this the same cylinder you had trouble with before?? Are these the same pushrods that were in there too??

Bill's on the right track, the springs may not be collapsing all the way.

If the pustrods are the same ones they may be 'oveersize' etc.
