Hey All, could someone lend me some advice... got a 66 truck with a stock 250. I have a rochester MV 1 BBL on it that has begun to be very noisy ie..big vacuum, and does not run very smooth any more. I figured I would rebuild the thing but that has made it worse. it sounds like there is a major vacum leak, but i cannot find one, Ive sparyed carb cleaner all over the place with no ill effects...I am stumped for the time being...plz help...before I spend more money my wife will have to authorize...lol

Hi Jason. Check your PCV hose (if you have one), distributor hose and any rubber hoses along the fuel line. Does the engine run if you completely seal the top of the carb off with your hand?
