I have one, it was OK on gas.
Not much performance compared to a 4 barrel or side draft Webbers.
But is better than a one barrel.
I used it w/a offy intake though, not a one barrel intake w/an adaptor.

I put one on my 292 in my big 5500 series Gmc truck (junk hauler). No more V thing! Alltough it was a six. I used a small rochester off of a 307 and I have full length headers with duals. It made a pretty big difference but It does a lot of low rpm full throttle pulling, but I think it would help in a lighter type of vehicle too. I agree with Hank though it is a poor excuse compaired to a good four barrel or webbers. I say go for it and let us know what you think!!

I had one mounted to the stock intake using a Weber 32/36 and I never got it to run really well. It ran ok, but I think the 32/36 is just too small a carb for the 250. I tried rebuilding it several times and never got much luck and finally got rid of it all several months ago.
However, I must say that at one time using a 3 speed, 3.07 gears, a tonneau cover, Stovebolt exhaust, and a reeeeeally light foot I was able to pull 18mpg on the highway.

I used an adapter from Transdapt....
It worked pretty good, on the stock intake manifold. Used a carter 2bbl carb and it made a pretty good difference. Not a bad deal for around $14 bucks.
