INLINERS INTERNATIONAL
Drag Competition Class Rules
GENERAL REGULATIONS
- Line locks permitted.
- Driver must be a club member in good standing.
- Trans brake permitted.
- Shift light and play back tack allowed. No data recording devices (mechanical or electronic) allowed.
- High-end rev limiter allowed, one rev limiter only (high-end or low).
- Nitrous oxide allowed only when activated by a single pole switch, either by pedal or push button. No electronic or mechanical timers allowed.
- When power add-ons (turbo, superchargers, NOS) are allowed in applicable classes, no combined uses permitted except in fuel-altered. In applicable turbo and supercharge classes, double letter designates use. Nitrous oxide has separate class.
- Cars will be weighed with driver, ready to run. Any weight added must be firmly attached to the car. Drums or similar containers filled with liquid may not be used as ballast. Weight may neither be added nor reduced after a car has been officially classified. 100 lbs maximum, 2 each ½” bolts per 50 lbs.
- Weight, fuel or other infraction of the rules not requiring engine disassembly may be protested without charge.
- Protest on engine displacement must be made in writing and accompanied by a protest fee of $100 for overhead valve engines and $75 for flatheads. Protest fee will be forfeited to the car owner if the protested car is found to be legal for its proper class. If the car is found to be illegal, the owner of the protested car will be subject to disciplinary action by the drag committee.
- Engine displacement checks will be performed by the tech committee personnel only to the extent of measuring the bore and stroke. A protested engine must be disassembled for inspection and reassembled after inspection by the car owner and/or his pit crew. Refusal to disassemble an engine upon official protest request may result in suspension of the car owner from further participation in future club-sponsored activities.
- Cars will be classified according to the aforementioned requirements, as well as general compliance to the spirit of the rules. The decision of the Inliner tech committee will be final on all class placements.
- Each car entered will be required to have a safety belt for the driver. Helmets will also be required for all classes other than the stock classes. All open cars are required to have roll bars. Steering mechanism, brake systems and general construction of cars will be checked visually by the tech committee. All cars must also pass safety inspection at sanctioned drag strips.
- Immediately after making a record run, a car will be required to drive to the Inline inspection area to be checked for compliance with class rules and be re-weighed. Refusal to do so will result in loss of record.
- General inquiries and assistance in interpreting regulations and/or classifying vehicles and submission of record setting information, to include an official weight slip and time slip marked with class record set, should be sent to the Inliners Racing Director.
