The car is a 1970 Opel GT and has competed in E gas modified sports at Bonneville for the last 3 years, during SpeedWeek in 2004 the best speed was 178.8 on a 202 mph record. The engine is a 258 c.i. Pontiac OHC 6 with Enderle fuel injection, MSD style ignition, JE pistons and Eagle rods. Trans was a 200 4r but will be replaced with a close ratio 4 speed for 2005. The rear is a GM 7.5" with 2.56 gears. Other changes in store for 2005 will be a another new nose cone and a full length belly pan along with a concreted block and a switch to alcohol fuel. Hopefully it might get us a little closer to the 200 mph mark. For updates on the car see: http://www.blackopel.com/
